Bye Bye Betty Blue

My entire life I have held a special place in my heart for inanimate objects. I am not crazy, but I can't help but feel that they have feelings too. I know I have some childhood friends out there that are going to read this post and revisit conversations we have had about flowers, books, cars etc.

Last night, I/we (we of course being my hubba dub dub) said good-bye to one of my favorite inanimate objects thus far, Betty Blue. For those of you who don't know Betty Blue...you really missed out. She is awesome. She has always been dependable and strong. Even when she was sick we knew she would always be there when we needed her. She was a lot of "firsts" for me. She was my first Blue and for that (if not all the wonderful things about her) I will always remember her.

Yesterday, I closed one chapter of my life and started another. Betty Blue, I asked them to find you a good home, I kissed you goodbye and I will never forget you.

Thanks for all of the great memories!!

Sometimes

Sometimes, when you walk by, I want to stick my foot out and trip you.

Ever had a moment like that? It's ok, I hear it's natural :)

Find Your Groove

Please watch this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0bt9xBuGWgw

My mom sent me this video and it really made me laugh out loud. As I was watching the bird shake its tail feather I thought to myself what could I do today to get my "groove on." For those of you who know me, you know that I am a morning, noon and night person. Well, besides the fact that I go to sleep at 9:00pm, I am still in a good mood IF I am awake :) I thought this little bird could bring joy to a lot of people's day. I hope it also reminds you to look at the bright side everyday and remember that you control your mood (for the most part) and that you have the power to turn a bad day into a not so bad one. Take the time to listen to some music, do a little dance, work out or do something that really puts you in a good place. You owe it to yourself to be the best you :)

So, how will YOU find your GROOVE today?
